Rewarding Incompetence is Not Limited to Congress

Business people often comment on how the government rewards incompetence. Congress has a very low approval rating, yet its members keep getting re-elected. Well maybe this “disease” is not limited to government.

According to a recent study by Towers Watson Talent Management, rewarding incompetence is far too common.

30 years ago Tom Peters said, “If you raise your level of customer service to mediocre, you can stand out in the crowd.” Maybe this study helps explain why.
