Does This Product Placement Backfire?

telepresence-robotTelepresence robots have been getting a fair amount of press in the last year. For the less initiated, these robots allow a virtual worker to move about the office while not actually being there and take part in meetings and conversations. They control the robot from afar and move “themselves” where they need to be.

If you are a fan of The Good Wife, you will note that this year they have added a telepresence robot to the cast. However, the robot/person is made to look foolish and bumbling all the time. There is not one single positive aspect of this “character.”

I sure hope nobody paid for this “product placement.”
